Software QA Test Engineer

We are now accepting applications for a full-time, remote role in our Engineering Department.
This is a remote role; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states: Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah or Virginia.

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The QA Tester will design and execute test plans, identify bugs, and collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues before product release. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct regression, functional, usability, and performance testing
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release
  • Participate in sprint planning
  • Provide feedback on product usability and overall quality
  • Maintain detailed testing documentation and reports
Required Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or REST clients
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
